Service terms
Last updated: 29 July 2026. KnowAGuyInChina is an early-stage independent sourcing service operated from mainland China. These terms apply when I accept your request in a written quote.
1. What the service does
I can search for products, contact sellers, purchase approved goods, perform the visible checks listed in your quote, arrange packing and help book international shipping. I am not the product manufacturer, customs authority, customs broker, laboratory or certification body.
2. Quote and approval
An initial estimate is not a final offer. A final written quote should identify the item, quantity, product cost, service fee, estimated shipping and requested checks. I buy only after you approve the quote and cleared payment is received. Supplier stock, exchange rates and freight prices can change; I will ask before accepting a material change.
3. Fees, cancellation and refunds
The service fee covers work performed and will be shown separately. Before purchase, cancellation is normally possible, less any non-refundable payment costs or work explicitly agreed in advance. After purchase, supplier return rules, domestic freight and handling costs apply. Shipping and service already performed are not refundable merely because you change your mind.
4. Product checks
A standard visual check can confirm obvious quantity, colour, visible damage and packaging, but it cannot prove hidden quality, authenticity, long-term performance, material composition or regulatory compliance. Extra testing must be agreed and may cost more. Photos are evidence of what was visible, not a magic warranty wand.
5. Shipping, customs and tax
Delivery dates are estimates. The buyer is responsible for checking import legality, permits, duties, taxes and local product requirements. I will not falsify value, origin, description or documents. Customs inspection, carrier delay, seizure and events outside reasonable control can affect delivery. Available insurance and claim rules will be stated where relevant.
6. Goods I will not handle
I may reject illegal, restricted, unsafe, counterfeit, sanctioned or unusually high-risk goods. See items I cannot handle. Approval of a request is not legal advice or a guarantee that customs will release it.
7. Intellectual property
You must have the right to use any logo, design, software, specification or other material you provide. I do not knowingly source counterfeit branded goods or help bypass intellectual-property rights.
8. Problems and liability
Tell me promptly and provide photos, video, packaging and carrier records. I will help pursue a reasonable supplier or carrier claim where available. To the extent permitted by mandatory law, liability is limited to the amount paid for the affected service and excludes indirect business loss. Nothing here removes rights that applicable consumer law does not allow to be excluded.
9. Law and contact
